1. Jordan Trail / Samma to Arab Dam

Fascinating 12 km hike mostly downhill, through the bushes and villages of ancient Ottoman routes reaching the archeological site Tal al Zaatra, which is an artificial hill looking over the dam, it has archeological remains from the Iron age till the Omiya period, after the dam there is the first climbing cliff in Irbid.

 2. Rock Climbing Irbid/ Khirbet Dur Mursul

One day trip/ 25 JD/ person

This village has been discovered recently, which why it does not have many references. However, its construction goes back to pre-Greek period. This ancient village contains a water deposit in the middle, a stone mill, and has a strong defensive wall facing the West Bank, with the view of Um Qais and Arab Dam in the east. The place is on top of a sedimentary strong limestone cliff that creates many overhangs with big big holds making hard looking climbs easy ones.
